One Kearny

Ever since returning from my most recent trip to Asia, I’ve been in a restless state. I’m constantly searching for ways to cure the travel bug, which seems to have bitten me real good this time around. Fortunately for me, the local newspaper published an article listing public spaces that people can visit in private areas around San Francisco. The rooftop terrace on One Kearny is an example of a privately owned public space. Here are a few photos I took while being a tourist in my own city.

Nexus 5 Photos

A random collection of photos taken with my Google Nexus 5 over the last few months. All photos were processed on the Nexus 5 using the Vignette and VSCOcam photo apps. You can see more of my “Androidography” only photos here: http://instagram.com/eyeofthedroid

Nexus 5 Photography?

Nexus 5 Photography? Sure why not! In a world dominated by “iPhoneography,” I’m doing my best to see what I can capture with this Droid. Currently my go to photo app is “Vignette,” I really enjoy the ability to create custom presets and the clean over all look it gives my photos. Another great photo app to look out for is VSCOcam by Visual Supply Co (VSCO), currently in beta mode for the Android market. VSCO has built a great user community around their product which is another thing Android Photography lacks.

Here are some photos taken and processed with only the Google Nexus 5.

Lomora 2

iPhoneography with the Lomora 2 camera app. I found out about this app a few weeks ago and decided to give it a try. The app mimics various “lomo” style film looks, but since I’m a huge fan of B&W film I decided to only photograph with the B&W setting. Here are some photos I have compiled over the last couple of weeks using only this app.

Me, my iPhone, & the SF Bay

Sunday I was out on a gig with fellow photog Danny Lee and lucky for me it was on a Yacht heading into the middle of the San Francisco Bay. A “Win!” for sure since there was an air show going on because of Fleet Week. (BTW probably one of the best ways to experience “Fleet Week”) Here are a few iPhone snaps from the day.

iPhoneography

What is iPhoneography? Perhaps capturing life in a digital LoFi format? Maybe taking photos and editing them strictly using your iPhone? For me, it’s the freedom to create, capture, and share anything I happen to feel or see at the moment. Here are a few random iPhone photos I have taken over the last few years.
